What information we collect
When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. When you register a bird, we store the bird's name, description, photo (optional), and the contact details you choose to share. We do not collect payment information directly — payments are handled by our payment provider.
How we use your information
Your information is used solely to operate the My Budgie Buddy registry — to let you register birds, mark them as lost or found, and to allow finders to contact you. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your information for advertising.
What is publicly visible
When a bird is searched by band ID, the bird's name, description, photo, and the contact details you provided at registration are shown to the searcher. Please only enter contact details you are comfortable sharing publicly (e.g. an email address rather than a home address).
Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
Your rights
You can update or delete your bird registrations at any time from your dashboard. To delete your account and all associated data, email us at [email protected].
